About me
My name is Gaby Guerrero, and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where I graduated with honors from Loyola Marymount University with my B.A. in Theological Studies. I moved to Atlanta in 2021, and graduated in 2024 with my Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. I understand my vocation as the promotion of the flourishing of women within the Catholic Church, and I have worked for Catholic organizations in a variety of capacities, including for America Magazine and the Holy See’s diplomatic office in Vienna, Austria. I am currently the youth minister at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, GA, where I see my vocation manifest as my specific interest in working with teenage girls.
The Blog
The name of this blog is a double reference: both to my lens as a lifelong student of feminist theology (hermeneutics being the field dedicated to biblical interpretation) and a nod to the Chicks’ song “For Her.”
